When you use safe, topical applications, the products are usually clear when applied and might take a couple hours for you to see results. After 24 hours, you should be able to see full results, and those with medium complexions and no freckles usually see the best.

The best part about sunless tanning is that it is a safe alternative to sunbathing as long as you keep the products away from your eyes, nose and mouth. Protecting these areas can be more difficult with total-body spray tanning.

For the best results, make sure to exfoliate first to remove excess dead skin. Also use use a light touch, especially over dryer, rough areas, and let the product dry completely before dressing.
